Day 17 - Mon - 10/13/2025 - At sea to Bilbao
We once again listened to our Seattle Mariners play post season baseball in the American League Championship Series game #1 from 2am to 5am. They won! We were still able to wake up for the 8am interdenominational Bible study which had the largest attendance so far due to the newly embarked passengers. The discussion continues to be good. Afterwards we ate breakfast with Darrell and Sherry and shared about our trip to Mont Saint Michel the day before.
Franz gave his enrichment lecture on disasters featuring the Titanic, Andrea Dori collision, the Tenerife 747's collision, and the Challenger explosion. He's a knowledgeable person, but reading from a script is not very appealing to me as a listener. Plus we've seen his lectures before. The rest of the day was pretty laid back so I caught up on my blog entries. We did cross paths with the Sky Princess which was heading back to Southampton. We'll be on the Sky at the end of the month.
The evening entertainment was the cast presentation of Rock Opera which we saw on the first leg of this trip. It was another high energy performance. Afterwards we watched the YES/NO game show before Angela did karaoke which I watched. We ended our evening by listening to the second game of the Seattle Mariners playing the Toronto Blue Jays in game 2 of the ALCS. The game started at 11pm and was over by 2:30pm. We won 10-3 and the teams now fly to Seattle and the next three games are in Seattle.
Tomorrow we are in Bilbao and it will be our first visit to this Basque Spanish city. We're planning to walk much of it.
